Toronto City Hall Wedding // Caroline & Matt
Every once in awhile we are faced with a shoot that challenges us physically, but for that very reason we find the results of our work even more rewarding. Caroline and Matt’s wedding portrait session had all of us enduring frigid cold, coupled with freezing rain that could have dampened our spirits. Instead, the brave couple spent the morning smiling and laughing on their wedding day – a testament to the belief that it’s not where you are that matters, but who you are with in that moment.
We started off at Evergreen Brick Works for their portrait session, then down to Polson Pier for a city view – which was completely hidden behind a wall of snow and rain. We still managed to snap a few romantic shots of the adventurous couple, but soon moved to Nathan Phillips Square Rink for skating. Their last moments as singles were spent playfully on the ice, as immediately after we joined them for their Toronto City Hall wedding. What could have been a trying and stressful day, turned into a calm and romantic shoot – made possible by the whimsical snow and a couple who embody what it means to be in love.
