Growing up in Lithuania, our summers were spent swimming in rivers and lakes and family camping and fishing trips. The outdoors are ingrained in our souls; we’re born to love breathing in the fresh air and finding the beauty in the sunlight falling across the treetops. When we moved to Toronto we spent a great deal of time exploring Ontario, attempting to find a place filled with the picturesque scenery of our childhood. That’s when we found Killbear. Nestled about 250 km from Toronto, Killbear Provincial Park is a breathtaking space blending rocky ground and sandy beaches that surround lake water as clear as glass. It was our hope to one day bring a couple here to use the natural elements as a backdrop, and Kristen and Matt made that possible. When they contacted us about their upcoming wedding in Parry sound, Killbear seemed like the natural location for their engagement session. They agreed. The adventurous couple drove up from Sudbury and met us halfway. We were overjoyed to spend the day with such a wonderful couple in one of our favorite summer places. We can’t wait for their 2013 outdoor wedding on the Georgian Bay Shore in Parry Sound.
What a whirlwind weekend! We started on Friday with an outdoor wedding at Nestleton Waters Inn, and on Saturday we were back in Toronto to shoot a local wedding. By Sunday we left town again for a wooded engagement photo session with an amazing couple in Parry Sound. This shoot was dear to us as we worship Ontario’s north. These past three days were busy, but it was truly incredible. We leave you with a glimpse of our marathon weekend from the engagement session in Parry Sound. We’ll have more shots soon. Cheers!
