Okay, sometimes you have to start right in the middle of a happy ending to appreciate how it all began. That sounds complicated, we know, we know. But stick with us here–it’s definitely worth it.
During his speech at the reception, Matt told the story of when he was a single, working man taking the streetcar to his downtown Toronto office. Each morning the car would take him past other office buildings, full of other office workers leading their own lives. We’ve all people watched before, and it’s fun to imagine the backstories of strangers. It’s a lot more fun when the stranger catches your romantic eye.
One of those strangers in one of those enormous office windows did exactly that, and Matt would admire her, fleetingly, knowing they might never meet in real life. So he imagined where they might meet–places around Toronto they might go, things they might see together. It could have so easily been nothing more than a pleasant daydream on a morning commute.
To make a long, beautiful story short, that stranger was Lindsay. And they did meet in real life; now they get to exchange fleeting (or not so fleeting) glances whenever they like. As we sat there at Enoch Turner Schoolhouse, enchanted by this romantic crossing of paths, Matt reached the end of his story in the best possible way–he told us that Lindsay was truly, figuratively and literally, the girl of his dreams.
You can imagine the awws from the guests’s everyone’s heart melted.
We had such a great time photographing Matt and Lindsay’s day, and were thrilled they chose Enoch Turner Schoolhouse–a really lovely, cozy Toronto venue. They filled it with flowers, smiles, and so much fun and love. A beautiful ending to a beautiful beginning for a couple’s beautiful life.
Oh, speaking of beauty, we can’t help but rave for a second about Lindsay’s gorgeous wedding gown that was made specially for her by one of her friends. What a personal touch to an incredible wedding.
We hope you’ll enjoy checking out the photos as much as we enjoyed taking them. Congratulations, Lindsay and Matt!
