Hands down, there’s no bigger satisfaction for a photographer than to hear you’ve touched someone through your work. Of course we work because we’re passionate about it, but knowing that we’ve moved someone through our photography spurs us on to become even better. As a Toronto wedding photographer, a happy client singing our accolades is the highest attainment.
Grace and Johnny are such a stellar couple – the kind of people who’s positive energy touches you without words, so much so you feel immediately lighter, happier even. The email they recently sent us was no exception; we were so touched by their excitement that we felt we should share. Yes, it sounds like we’re tooting our own horn, but honestly it’s the genuine kindness and sunshine we feel should be spread around. We’re just strangers behind a camera and the love and gratitude bestowed to us, speaks volumes of their incredible spirit. I hope you all are blessed to be close to others who shine such rays of positivity. Cheers.
Dearest Gee and Ieva,
You know those moments when what you feel cannot be put into words, those emotions that are beyond literal transcription onto paper and pen (or electronic mail as it were). Well, I’m having one of those moments (which is why I’m writing this email with semi-proper grammar. It’s this weird thing I do when I feel this way).
But I guess you DO know what that’s like, because that is exactly what you do with your pictures! You capture in images what you cannot express in words. I am BLOWN AWAY by these images (I hope you don’t mind the caps locks, it’s another habit I have when I’m excited) !!!! (and exclamation marks too)…
So I waited until Johnny got home last night at 10:30pm so we could open and take a look at the pictures for the first time together over Skype, and my oh my, we just savored each one. First of all, I cannot believe you came up with so many images! And what beautiful images they are! The composition, the lighting, the subjects (hehehe… but seriously- how did you make us look that good?).
I could go on and on, but… (oh wait, I will)
I love the FEEL of them. Looking through those pictures reminded me of exactly what drew me to you two in the first place- pure TALENT. And you guys GET IT. Your pictures tell a story of two (kooky) people— and the beauty is in the details of the simplicity of nature and ourselves 🙂 I am SO GLAD you two suggested going to Pinery Provincial Park… the sand dunes are like a slice of Africa in Canada! (AMAZING!) haha… and so grateful that the sun came out at the end for the beautiful soft lighting (I guess we’d have to thank God for that one) 😉
In any case, I wanted you two to know that I went to work this morning and my colleagues all said I had this GLOW on my face and bounce in my step, and I tried to think why that would be. Oh yes. It’s because I am SO GRATEFUL for everything that has happened in this wedding process (still SO MUCH to learn and grow from), and in particular, how blessed I feel to have found you two (GEMS!!!).
