Muskoka Wedding Photographer // Kristen & Matt
Growing up in Lithuania, our summers were spent swimming in rivers and lakes and family camping and fishing trips. The outdoors are ingrained in our souls; we’re born to love breathing in the fresh air and finding the beauty in the sunlight falling across the treetops. When we moved to Toronto we spent a great deal of time exploring Ontario, attempting to find a place filled with the picturesque scenery of our childhood. That’s when we found Killbear. Nestled about 250 km from Toronto, Killbear Provincial Park is a breathtaking space blending rocky ground and sandy beaches that surround lake water as clear as glass. It was our hope to one day bring a couple here to use the natural elements as a backdrop, and Kristen and Matt made that possible. When they contacted us about their upcoming wedding in Parry sound, Killbear seemed like the natural location for their engagement session. They agreed. The adventurous couple drove up from Sudbury and met us halfway. We were overjoyed to spend the day with such a wonderful couple in one of our favorite summer places. We can’t wait for their 2013 outdoor wedding on the Georgian Bay Shore in Parry Sound.

Berkeley Church Wedding // Kelly & Ryan
There is a definite art to wedding planning. With so many details to take into consideration, it’s easy to go overboard, which can cause a chaotic feel to what should be a calm and happy day. It takes definite hard work to pull it together, but Ryan and Kelly used their creative nature to pull off a fresh and natural wedding. The Berkeley Church in Toronto is a chic urban oasis, with a stunning outdoor area – almost impossible to find in Toronto. The venue is DIY wedding heaven, and the natural lighting is a dream for photographers. The bold blue of Kelly’s shoes and the yellow socks on the boys popped against the sleek venue – a perfect combination. Each step of the day flowed flawlessly into the next, and by the reception we knew we were in for quite a party. The organic beer, indie music and candlelight created an organic feel bursting with personality. In lieu of favors, donations were made to the Alzheimer’s Society, a touching gift from the kind-hearted couple. Here’s to you Kelly and Ryan, cheers!
We had a blast being Kelly and Ryan’s engagement photographers earlier this year.

Camping Engagement Photo Session // Kristen
What a whirlwind weekend! We started on Friday with an outdoor wedding at Nestleton Waters Inn, and on Saturday we were back in Toronto to shoot a local wedding. By Sunday we left town again for a wooded engagement photo session with an amazing couple in Parry Sound. This shoot was dear to us as we worship Ontario’s north. These past three days were busy, but it was truly incredible. We leave you with a glimpse of our marathon weekend from the engagement session in Parry Sound. We’ll have more shots soon. Cheers!

Toronto Island Engagement // Victoria & Phillip
Have Love, Will Travel.
From London to New York, Paris to Thailand, Monaco to the Dominican Republic, Victoria and Phil have traveled everywhere – and don’t intend to slow down any time soon. It was only natural that we should travel out of the city limits of Toronto for their engagement photos, setting our sights on Toronto Island. As if a testament to the couples need for adventure, we almost hopped aboard a booze boat – complete with tacky plastic Hawaiian leis. Unfazed, we managed to find sober passage and get some playful shots on board– without any drunken passengers. We ended our night with a few cold beers down on the waterfront. Beautiful nights such as these make our work wholly rewarding. We anticipate an equally enthralling wedding in the Niagara region next year.

Polson Pier Engagement // Christina & Fil
There’s something to be said about people who sacrifice they’re time to help others without any thought to their selflessness. Those who fill their daily lives with service, so much so that their schedules lack much room for anything else. For this reason, we were hoping for beautiful weather when we were setting up the shoot for Christina and Fil, as we knew it would be nearly impossible to reschedule. But alas the weatherman called for gray skies filled with thunderstorms and even more – thunderstorms. With the impending weather, we were skeptical but tried to keep an open mind to see how the day would unfold. It seems the vibrancy of Christina’s smile or the warmth between the couple pushed back the clouds, as we spent the day under blues skies and warm sunshine.
We started at Dark Horse Coffee Shop before we headed to the dusty Lake shore. By the time we wrapped up in an urban field filled with flora, Christina and Fil were exhausted, but illuminated under yellow sunlight. Christina and Fil helped us accomplish another amazing Cherry Beach engagement shoot in downtown Toronto Port lands near Polson Pier – we’re so blessed with great clients. Cheers!

The Old Mill Inn Wedding Toronto // Irene & Jeff
Surrounded by the love of their best friends and closest family, Irene and Jeff united their love in an intimate ceremony at the Old Mill Inn. The venue is a village oasis hidden amidst a vast city, such a stark contrast to its surroundings it was almost surreal. Fighting unbearably hot temperatures, we trekked down through the meadows and across the steep shores of the Humber River. We arrived at our portrait session location – a bridge that is under construction. With all these obstacles, no one could have blamed Irene and Jeff for complaining, but they remained upbeat throughout the day. We wrapped up the night with food and drink at 1800 Degrees Restaurant. Just one more adventurous wedding day in Toronto. Cheers!
